His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb extended his sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and to his brothers, the rulers and sheikhs of the UAE and the brotherly Emirati people, on the occasion of the 54th National Day.

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar affirms that the UAE National Day is a reminder of the spirit of unity and solidarity upon which the United Arab Emirates was founded, following the path of the wise leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy on his soul. The Grand Imam also commends the UAE for its achievements and the progress it has brought to its people, and for its global efforts in consolidating the values of human fraternity and tolerance. He asks Allah Almighty to grant the UAE, the entire Arab and Islamic world, and all of humanity, security, safety, progress, and prosperity.
