Al-Azhar curriculum strongest weapon against terrorist groups Center for Arab and Islamic Education in Nigeria
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received the delegation of the Center for Arab and Islamic Education in Nigeria. The members of the Nigerian delegation expressed their pride in their Azhari background, and their adherence to Al-Azhar approach, which represents the true Islamic religion and the tolerance of its teachings. Islam is the strongest intellectual weapon for Nigeria and Africa in the face of terrorist groups because it exposes the falsity of linking their criminal activities to Islam. They also stressed that Al-Azhar is the major academic destination for Nigerian scholars and students.
The members of the delegation thanked Al-Azhar for the support it provides to Nigeria, by receiving Nigerian students to study at Al-Azhar and training Nigerian imams to confront emerging challenges and refute the allegations of extremist groups, expressing their aspiration for Al-Azhar’s support for the Center for Arab and Islamic Education in Nigeria.
The Grand Imam explained that what Al-Azhar is doing towards Nigeria is part of its responsibility towards all Muslims around the world, expressing its readiness to provide more support to Nigeria and the Center for Arab and Islamic Education to help it fulfill its mission of serving the Nigerian society.
