Under the directives of the Grand Imam, the EZCH convoy arrives at Rafah Land Port, consisting of 18 trucks carrying medicine and relief supplies
This Tuesday evening, the EZCH convoy arrived at the Rafah Land Port on the Egyptian-Palestinian border, as per the directives of HE Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, General Supervisor and Chairman of the EZCH Board of Trustees, in support of and relief of our brothers in the Gaza Strip
The convoy includes 18 trucks carrying medicine, food and relief supplies, like water, food and clothing, as part of the “Help Gaza” campaign and in support of our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
The Grand Imam’s directives come in response to the catastrophic humanitarian situation afflicting our brothers in Gaza as a result of the stifling siege imposed by the occupation, and falling of thousands of innocent children, women and adults as martyrs.
This convoy is the largest relief convoy run by Al-Azhar, springing from Al-Azhar’s historical role in promoting the Palestinian cause and supporting our brotherly Palestinian people. It also represents a continuation of the series of medical and relief convoys that Al-Azhar is keen to conduct as part of its global humanitarian role.
The convoy was headed by Dr. Sahar Nasr, EZCH Executive Director, who was accompanied by employees from Al-Azhar and the EZCH. The series of convoys shall continue within the “Help Gaza” campaign, and in continual support of the Palestinian cause and relief for our brotherly people in Gaza.
