His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received a phone call from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, to inquire about His Eminence’s health, after he suffered a health problem. His Majesty prayed to Allah Almighty to heal His Eminence, to bestow upon him the blessings of health and wellness, and to preserve him for Islam and Muslims. His Majesty also congratulated the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar on the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr.

During the call, His Eminence the Grand Imam expressed his appreciation and pride in this noble stance taken by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, praising His Majesty’s sincere efforts in consolidating the values of dialogue, peace and human coexistence. His Eminence also congratulated His Majesty the King and the good people of Bahrain on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah Almighty to grant the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued security, stability and prosperity.

The King of Bahrain emphasized the importance of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar's efforts to clarify the true image of Islam, disseminate the values of global peace and human brotherhood, and unite the nation.

Both figures called upon Allah Almighty to protect the Palestinian people, relieve their distress, and bring the Eid back to the Islamic nation and the entire world with peace, goodness, safety, and security.
