The Grand Imam participates in the Interfaith Alliance “Child Dignity in the Digital World" Forum
The Grand Imam headed for Abu Dhabi to participate in the Interfaith Alliance “Child Dignity in the Digital World” Forum, delivering the keynote speech at the forum, in the presence of leaders of many religions and religious sects from all over the world. In his speech, the Grand Imam asserted that Islam has the lead in enacting all-inclusive legislations in the interest of the child, and that in Islam the custody of the Muslim child goes to the Christian or Jewish mother (in a Muslim father family, with a Christian or Jewish mother family), not to the Muslim father or the Muslim family. He added that Muslim scholars unanimously agree to the conclusive prohibition of crimes committed against children, thus banning encouraging them in any form or by any means.
