Upon his arrival in the Thai capital, Bangkok and amidst great celebration by Muslims in Thailand, Al-Azhar Grand Imam and MCE Chairman, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, was keen to go to the Islamic Center to perform the Friday prayers with the crowds of worshippers, exchange friendly conversation and take photos with them, and listen to them.

 

Crowds of worshippers, led by Shafie Abdul Qader, the Imam and preacher of the Islamic Center Mosque in the Thai capital, Bangkok, gathered around His Eminence, expressing their great happiness with this historic visit of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar to their country.

 

His Eminence the Grand Imam arrived this afternoon in Bangkok which is the second stop on his foreign tour to Southeast Asia, with the aim of strengthening bridges of communication with Muslims, and spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance, and human coexistence.
