His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the 54th UAE National Day, praying to Allah Almighty to grant the UAE, and all Muslim countries, continued security, progress, and prosperity.

 

The Grand Imam also congratulated their Highnesses the Rulers of the seven Emirates and their people on this national occasion, praising the UAE leadership's role in advancing its civilizational and humanitarian development, following in the footsteps of the late founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy on his soul.

 

His Eminence the Grand Imam commended the recently opened Zayed National Museum, which commemorates the legacy of the founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, and his approach to leadership, development, and the values of unity upon which the UAE was founded. He prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy and forgiveness upon him in reward for his contributions.

 

 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Eminence the Grand Imam for the sincere feelings he expressed towards the UAE and its people, praising the role played by His Eminence and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in serving Islam and Muslims.
