Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Mounir Hanna Anis, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Egypt, North Africa and the Horn of Africa, who congratulated His Eminence on the occasion of the blessed ˁEid ul-Fiṭr.

His Eminence the Grand Imam expressed his pleasure that the representatives of the Egyptian Episcopal Church congratulated him, adding that the exchange of congratulations, visits and signs of respect between brothers of the same homeland confirms that the Egyptians are united by the spirit of affection, mercy, brotherhood and peace. He prayed to Allah Almighty for many happy returns of such good events to everyone with goodness and blessing.

Archbishop Mounir Hanna and the senior priests of the Episcopal Church, for their part, congratulated His Eminence the Grand Imam on the occasion of the blessed ˁEid ul-Fiṭr, wishing him and all Muslims continued health and wellness. They stressed that Al-Azhar is a successful national model in all fields, and the patriotic stances of the Grand Imam are examples for everybody to follow.
