His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb,  received a phone call from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt. His Excellency inquired about the Grand Imam's health, praying to Allah Almighty to grant him a speedy recovery, to bestow upon him health and wellness, and to preserve him for Islam and Muslims.

His Eminence the Grand Imam expressed his sincere gratitude to President El-Sisi for his noble feelings, and sincere prayers. He also commended his efforts in supporting the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and its scholars in promoting moderation and balance, which enhances Egypt's role in promoting stability and peace in the region.

His Eminence the Grand Imam also exchanged greetings with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah Almighty to bring these occasions back to the Egyptian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the entire world, with goodness, peace, security, and safety.
